About La Antigua

La Antigua is located in the central highlands of Guatemala at an elevation of 5,000 feet above sea level. Characterized by Spanish colonial architecture and surrounded by volcanoes, La Antigua is considered Guatemala’s most popular tourist destination. The central plaza is located in the heart of the city and its tree-lined park offers plenty of benches to watch the constant bustle of locals and international visitors.
