Teach English in China
Bridge is excited to partner with English First to recruit teachers for paid positions in cities throughout China, one of the world’s most sought after teaching locations.
The program includes teacher training and generous benefits, and no previous teaching experience is required for most locations. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a supportive program, teaching English in a land rich with culture, brimming with tradition and home to one of the world’s most ancient civilizations.
Benefits of the Program
This Teach Abroad opportunity makes it easy for teachers to get started in Asia, whether or not they have previous teaching experience!
The only cost to participants who are not yet TEFL certified, is the 120-hour Master TEFL Certificate! (You’ll need to complete the certificate in order to secure your visa to teach in China). This certificate not only meets TEFL requirements for the Teach in China program, but for other teaching positions around the world. (If you’re not accepted to the Teach in China Program for any reason, you can still access your TEFL course and receive lifetime job placement advising from Bridge for other positions in China or worldwide!)
Other perks of this supportive teaching program include a guaranteed, paid job placement in one of 50 cities throughout China (Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou require at least two years’ experience) as well as airfare reimbursement, an advance on your salary and a hotel stay upon arrival, health insurance, and even Mandarin lessons!
With a population of more than one billion, a history lasting more than 5,000 years and a territory spanning nearly 4 million square miles, China offers the plenty to do and see for the adventurous teacher. From the bustling, metropolitan cities of Beijing and Shanghai, to the amazing sights of the Great Wall and the Yangtze River, you will not just feel like you’re in a different country, but a different world! While teaching English and enriching the lives of Chinese students, you will be fully immersed in the culture, and can even study Mandarin Chinese, the earth’s most widely spoken language.
