      TEFL Online Course    
 
TEFL Online is a 40-hour, 7-module online certificate program. The course covers the fundamentals of teaching English as a foreign language, including the following: teaching productive and receptive language skills and sub-skills, language awareness for the teacher, multimedia in the classroom, and Computer Aided Language Learning (CALL). 

TEFL Online also includes integrated video tutorials that demonstrate a variety of techniques, including teaching vocabulary, listening, and speaking, as well as examples of error correction and classroom management.

The certificate takes about 40 hours to complete, but since it is a self-study course, it can be done at the trainee’s own pace.

By the end of the course, graduates will have covered the following modules:

5. Teaching Grammar
2. Classroom Management
    Error Correction
    Distinguishing Levels of Learners
    Choosing Textbooks

      Software and the Internet

Grading Criteria:
The final course grade is cumulative and determined by averaging trainee performance on all 7 modules. Module grades are based on multiple-choice quizzes. Trainees must receive an overall score of 70% or higher to pass the course and be issued a certificate. Letter grades are determined as follows: A 90-100%, B 80-89%, C 70-79%.
