Experts in teaching English as a foreign language
Program AdvisorAnna Williams
Anna grew up just outside of Denver, Colorado and graduated from the University of Denver with degrees in Ecology and Spanish and a minor in Sustainability. Anna spent half a year studying the ecology of Ecuador and immersing herself into the language and culture of the Andean region. Her favorite part of living abroad in South America was seeing how different cultures relate to nature and how those interactions shape a unique way of life. Anna believes that experiences abroad lead to a great deal of personal growth and knowledge. Through her own experience in Ecuador, she became fluent in Spanish and enjoys any opportunity she gets to use her second language to meet new people. Now, as a Program Advisor at Bridge, she loves the chance to help others have the same type of transformative experience abroad that she did!
eLearning and Curriculum Specialist Ann Leonard
Ann graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in German and from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT, with an M.A. in TESOL. A teacher at heart, Ann spent a decade living and teaching in Germany and Japan. She traveled extensively throughout Europe and Southeast Asia before settling in Colorado. There she taught ESL for academic and business purposes, eventually moving into English for immigrant and refugee populations. Ann focused her professional development on teaching adult basic skills and eventually became a successful high school equivalency instructor for women in a correctional environment. Ann has been an online instructor for Bridge for 12 years and recently moved into her current position as eLearning and Curriculum Specialist. Ann loves to hike with her family in Colorado!
